ECOFEST... 16th November
Salone to Host Five Nation Music Explosion

Sierra Leone will host some of Africa’s biggest names in music on the 16th November 2018.
A stellar line-up from Nigeria, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, and Sierra Leone is set to thrill music fans at the National Stadium – with melodies that have graced every event on the continent and beyond.

Though a list of artists from each of the five countries is not yet released for the show, the organizers, Sierra Leone’s Kabaka MultiMedia Entertainment and Ghana's Empire Entertainment have promised a cracker.
KME, arguably the biggest record label in Sierra Leone had its international debut in June this year when the entire KME crew and three guest artists from Sierra Leone made a solid representation of the Green White and Blue at the popular “Ghana Meets Naija” hosted at the prestigious Fantasy Dome in Accra. The presence of Sierra Leones's First Lady  Fatima Bio, an entertainment stakeholder in the movie industry probably added glitz to the event but some observers actually agreed Sierra Leone 'cast' outperformed some of their West African counterparts.

Empire Entertainment is no strangers to organizing big music events in the continent and showbiz pundits have already likened the KME/Empire collaboration to a “volcanic eruption” whose ash and molten magma would be felt across the continent.

*“ECOFEST can pass as a ‘re-loaded version’ of Ghana Meets Naija and every artist brought in is a household name in the continent and the subregion.  We are concluding the formalities and very soon, we will unveil the list of those artists that would be gracing a purpose-built stage at the National Stadium”* said a confident and smiling CEO of KME, Abubakar Turay aka Kabaka.  The Kabaka, a lawyer by profession has remained the face of his record label with a group of highly talented artists whose songs have not failed to make an impact each time they are released.  He was particularly pleased that for the very first time, Sierra Leone will be playing host to musicians from five countries acclaimed for their musical dexterity.

Turay aims to use entertainment as a medium to change the narrative of his country; *"Music has greatly shaped the destinies of many nations. It is Sierra Leone’s turn to show Africa that we can be the best in music in terms of talent and artistic abilities, and it’s time to tell our own positive stories by ourselves.”*

Perhaps, no one is more enthusiastic than KME’s Manager – Dudu. Dudu is optimistic the event will blaze the trail for a musical redemption for Sierra Leone after a period of an ill-fated decline.
